Are you looking for an adventure this summer? Join us for a spectacular trip in the Canadian Rockies. People come from around the world to experience what God has put in our backyard – You won’t want to miss this! If you are interested, register as soon as possible because space is limited.

Please note that camp-sites cannot be reserved more than 3 months in advance, so some details cannot be confirmed until then.

Rocky Mountain Day-Hiking (August 26-31)

Ages: Completed Grade 6-9
When: Aug. 26 – Aug. 31 (Exact times TBA)
Drop-off & Pick-up Location: TBA
Cost: $290 (Note: As with all camp events, subsidies are available so don’t let cost deter you from coming)

The LPC Rocky Mountain Day-Hiking trip will consist of 5 day-hikes that will be challenging but realistic for a Jr. High student since most of the supplies will remain at the base-camp rather than being carried as in backpacking.

We will be waking up for 7:30am and breakfast will be at 8 so we can start hiking at 8:30. We will be hiking roughly 15km/day at a rate of approximately 3km/hr which means with breaks roughly 5hrs + lunch. Time permitting, we will spend some time on the last day at the Hot Springs.

Please review the information available on this site to get an idea of what to expect physically and mentally. If after reading you still have questions about anything, feel free to contact the Trip Leader: andrew@loneprairiecamp.com
