Commitment to Safety

Lone Prairie Camp’s mission is to offer a safe and fun environment where people encounter, respond to and are encouraged in their walk with God. Providing an environment where parents know their children are safe is a top priority. To this end, we meet (and in may areas exceed) the standards established by government and the Alberta Camping Association.

Activities

With safety as our foundation, we also seek to provide a wide range of fun and exciting activities including:

• Archery
• Arts & Crafts
• Basketball on cement pad
• Beach Volleyball
• Bushcraft (Bannock making over a fire)
• Canoeing & Paddleboats
• Climbing Tower
• Fieldgames
• Frolf (Frisbee golf)
• Hockey
• Indoor games including: Foosball, Ping-Pong, Air Hockey
• Mudpit
• Riflery (must be 12 years or older, therefore not available during Squirt, Junior or Intermediate camps)
• Sports Equipment – Soccer balls, pylons, field hockey nets, etc.
• Swimming
• Trampolines
• Tubing
• Zipline (Not available during Squirt Camp)

Lone Prairie Camp is a year-round facility. Lodging primarily consists of 3 cabin-blocks  Additional lodging is available for a total of approximately 145 beds.

• Dinning Hall
  • Seating capacity of 100 people, overflow accommodated in chapel (upstairs)
• Kitchen
  • 2 natural gas ovens, 4 burners and a large grilling plate
  • Commercial sanitizer (not dishwasher)
  • All eating, cooking and serving utensils provided
• Chapel
  • Seating capacity of 150 people
  • Audio-visual system including projector, DVD player, microphones & speakers
• Cabins
  • 3 Furnace heated cabin-blocks of 5 cabins each. 10 cabins contain 6 twin bunks and one double bed. 5 cabins contain 8 twin bunks. (ie. Total of 110 beds in the cabin-blocks)
  • 1 Furnace heated cabin (3 rooms, 1 bed/room + 1 shared half-bathroom)
  • 1 Electric heated cabin (2 rooms, 6 beds/room)
  • 1 Electric heated cabin (2 rooms, 2 beds/room)
  • 1 Electric heated yurt (14 beds)

  • Spacious area
  • 2 refrigerators + 1 microwave
