Staff Alumni Night

Postponed

Have you ever served as a Lone Prairie Camp CLT or Staff? Perhaps you can even remember back to when we had a different name? You will forever be part of our camp family and we invite you to join us for a special Alumni Night (POSTPONED).

This will be a very loosely structured free event intended to facilitate reminiscing and fellowship. You can look forward to a lazy afternoon at the beach, a potluck supper, stories, worship and wonderful company. Your family is welcome to join you, just please bring a potluck item for supper large enough to at least feed your family.

A free-will offering will be collected

Consider bringing:

  • Pictures
  • An instrument to play
  • Money to buy treats at our Tuck Shop…or maybe some LPC clothing…

Lamp Unto My Feet Bible Memorization Fundraiser

April-May

We are very excited about our new Lamp Unto My Feet Bible Memorization Fundraiser. Staff & CLTs will be collecting pledges and then memorizing as many Bible verses as possible before the end of May. Lone Prairie Camp will approve verses ahead of time to ensure (for example) that previously memorized verses are not included and confirm how many verses were ultimately memorized.

Make a pledge using the form below and invest not only in the ministry of Lone Prairie Camp but also the lifelong impact of memorized Scripture.

The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom,
and their tongues speak what is just.
The law of their God is in their hearts;
their feet do not slip.
– Psalm 37:30-31

We also invite you to join us on May 31 for the international Day of Prayer for Camp (more details to follow). We will be celebrating the conclusion of our Lamp Unto My Feet Bible memorization fundraiser and plan to at that point have more finalized plans for summer 2020.

Day of Prayer for Camp

May 31 | 7:30pm

Please join us on May 31st at 7:30 pm for a special live-stream event as we celebrate the conclusion of our “Lamp Unto my Feet” bible memorization fundraiser and provide an update on LPC’s plans for this summer. The live-stream will be hosted on the LPC Facebook Page via Facebook-Live.

Onsite Prayer Walk

June 20 | 10:30am-Noon

What an unusual time we are living in! Prayer should always be our first response whether we are celebrating a blessing, seeking guidance or recognizing our dependence on God’s help. LPC is all about Christ-centered community and although we are not yet allowed to sing together, come join us on June 20 as we worship through an outdoor corporate prayer walk. Alberta overnight summer camps have yet to receive permission to relaunch and we need to cover this unusual summer in prayer.

Outdoor seating will be available for those with limited mobility.

We will maintain social distancing between households and although our washrooms will be available for limited use, we encourage you to use restrooms before arriving onsite. The event will officially end at noon, but you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch and stay for an extra hour or so. We look forward to resume offering better hospitality once the Alberta government deems that this can be offered safely.
